Amsterdam based French singer-composer Fusée Dorée releases her first album La Mue, La Mort (Molting, Dying). Inspired as much by Cat Power and Little Dragon as by PJ Harvey and the xx, she’s found her own way to weave her vocals and guitars around deep basses and electronic beats. While melodies unfold, lead by her voice and harmonies, lyrics in English and French follow a thin line between abstract and personal. Her songs might take you to dark regions, but they’ll do that with a trip hop beat, surfing deep basses, eloquent guitars and aerial synths.
